Meet the Owner

Hi, my name is Shalyn

Thank you for checking out my website

A message from me:

I am not going to tell you about where I went to school and all that formal shit. I am here to say that I have worked hard and long to be able to offer a safe place for people who are suffering. I went to school. I have the degree, blah blah. I started this practice because I know the potential I have to help. From as young as preschool, I was a caretaker.

I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, stressed, and tired.. To struggle with simple tasks like showering, eating, and leaving the house. I know what it feels like to watch loved ones go through the same struggles. I lost my father and brother at a young age. They both struggled with mental health and substance use issues.

I have been a therapist for over 15 years. I have seen the struggle, the hardships, the raw reality of this hard life.

With all that being said...

I also know how amazing it feels to get through difficult periods in life.

Getting better isn't always easy, but I've found that with the right support, it IS possible. It takes strength to admit that you are struggling. Our society thinks it is "weak" to ask for help, but they are so wrong. Asking for help is the biggest sign of strength.  To be vulnerable is HARD. It takes so much strength to admit you are struggling.

So with that I say..

Great job at taking the first step!" You do NOT have to do this alone. We welcome the opportunity to support you with whatever your struggles may be.

We will help you face your fears with compassion and support while also taking a direct and honest approach.

We are excited to meet you!
